Clydesdale RDA was formed in 1985 and is a registered charity (SCO28614) in its own right. We offer people of all ages with physical and/or learning disabilities, the opportunity for therapy, achievement and enjoyment through working with horses.

We are governed by a board of volunteer Trustees who are responsible for the running of the group and accountable to the members. We employ a qualified group coach and riding coordinator who is ably-assisted by our team of trained volunteers.

We are well-supported by our West and Central Scotland Regional representatives who provide guidance, training, physiotherapist support and equine advice.

We are affiliated to the national Riding for the Disabled Association (Incorporating Carriage Driving) which is a UK Company Limited by Guarantee No 5010395 and a charity registered both in England & Wales (No 244108) and Scotland (No SC039473). The national organisation was founded in 1969 and is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities through the provision of horse riding and carriage driving.  RDA now has a network of 500 volunteer groups and 18,000 volunteers across the UK.
